Snowballs by Lois Ehlert (1995)

One of the letter recognition activities we've been doing in my preschool storytime is gathering a "Found Object Alphabet" which we started after reading Alphabet City by Johnson. Today Sylvia and her mother came in especially to bring me a present she had wrapped herself. It was an S hook and a clamp that looks like an "R". So Snowball is a book with few words but lots of found objects which will be the occasion for much conversation about how things can be looked at and used in different ways when we start storytime again.
