A classic book of anticipation, I Went Walking draws young children in to the story with the mystery of who the child will find on her walk. In Toddler storytime, ask parents to repeat the line "what did you see?" when reading the story. Encourage the parents to read the book at home with the child repeating the phrase to encourage narrative skills .
