The Best Time of Day by Eilleen Spinelli (2005)

 

I read the Best Time of Day in preschool storytime. Then I asked the kids, "what's YOUR best time of day?" We had a great discussion - many different answers. Afterwards we did a rhyme to calm ourselves down and regain some focus, and then I said, "parents, talking about stories (dialogic reading) like we just did (holding up the book) is as effective at building vocabulary as reading them."
