Beetle Bop by Denise Fleming (2007)

This is great for print awareness . The text placement varies from page to page, looping, slanting, etc. The colors also vary to match the meaning sometimes: "brown" is colored brown and "flashing" is bright yellow. Lots of alliteration and rhyme in the text for phonological awareness , and because the phrases are short the rhymes really stand out.
